03 · What the extra time buys

Each tour adds
something.

  1. 01

    1 hour

The thrill ride. Out across the marsh and into cypress swamp, fast.

  2. 02

    90 minutes

Everything in the hour plus time hunting for alligators. Gators are seasonal: they go quiet in the cold months.

  3. 03

    2 hours

Adds the history and ecology of the swamp, from captains who fish it for a living. About 300 bird species live out here.

  4. 04

    Sunset

About an hour of touring, sunset on the water, 30 minutes of spotlighting for wildlife, then a moonlit ride back. 90-minute minimum; eye protection provided.

An alligator rears up beside the airboat's gunwale with its jaws wide open.
